Ladies Section
Wilton Golf Club has a well established Ladies' Section with a membership across a wide range of ages and abilities.
Our aim is to provide enjoyable golf for Lady Members in a relaxed, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We welcome new members, with or without handicap, and offer as much support as necessary to make their golfing a happy experience.
- The Ladies' course measures 5425 yards with a standard scratch of 72. You can see the card of the course on a our Course Information page.
- Ladies play throughout their competition day, which is a Tuesday, and have priority on the first tee all day.
- The majority of Ladies prefer to play their competitions on the Tuesday morning so the first tee is reserved for Ladies between 0930 and 1030.
- If this is inconvenient our Ladies are flexible and more than happy to meet other members needs and play outside this timescale.
- We also have an Alternate Play Day on a Sunday which suits some Ladies who cannot play on a Tuesday.
- Ladies compete for various trophies throughout the year including qualifying and non-qualifying competitions.
- We compete in externally run competitions, both locally and nationwide such as the Daily Mail Foursomes, Mail on Sunday, Yorkshire County 4's, the Coronation 4's and local friendly matches.
- Ladies can also play for Wilton Golf Club in our 'A' Team which consists of 3 home and 3 away match play events.
- We run our own group sessions during the summer to help with our games and to encourage the integration of new and existing members.
- Individual lessons are available of course from our Professional (See Pat Smillie's Professional Shop page on this web site for further details).
