Women's Section

Women at Wilton Golf Club

Wilton Golf Club has a well-established Women's Section with membership across a wide range of ages and abilities. Our aim is to provide enjoyable golf for Female Members in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We welcome new members, with or without a handicap, and offer as much support as necessary to make their golfing a happy experience.
The Women's course measures 5425 yards with a standard scratch of 72.
Women's Competition Day is a Tuesday with an alternative play day on a Sunday, for those unable to play on Tuesday. The majority of women prefer to play their competitions on Tuesday mornings, so the first tee is reserved solely for women between 09:30 and 10:30. After that time, they have priority on the first tee for the rest of the day. If this is inconvenient our women are flexible and more than happy to meet other members' needs and play outside this timescale.
Women compete for various trophies throughout the year including qualifying and non-qualifying competitions. We compete in externally run competitions, both locally and nationally such as the Daily Mail Foursomes, Yorkshire County Foursomes, Coronation Foursomes and the Ping Fourball Betterball.
Women can also play in our White Rose Team, which consists of 3 home and 3 away match play events. Each year friendly matches between local clubs are organised.
