A Welcoming Women's Section

Wilton Golf Club proudly boasts a well-established Women's Section characterised by a small, friendly membership. Women of various ages and abilities participate, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. The Club's principal aim is to ensure that all female members enjoy their golf, encouraging a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable.
New members are always welcomed, regardless of whether they already have a handicap or are just beginning their golfing journey. Every golfer undertakes a continual journey toward achieving their objectives. The pursuit of improvement remains ongoing and to help achieve that objective support is offered at every step to ensure newcomers have a positive and enjoyable experience as they settle into the Club.

Women's Competition Days and Events

At Wilton Golf Club, Women's Competition Day is primarily held on Tuesdays, providing a dedicated time for female members to participate in club events. Recognising that some may not be available midweek, an alternative play day is offered on Sundays, ensuring inclusivity for those with weekday commitments. Most women choose to compete on Tuesday mornings, and as a result, the first tee is exclusively reserved for women from 09:30 to 10:30 during competition days.

Throughout the year, women at the Club compete for a variety of trophies, with both qualifying and non-qualifying competitions taking place. In addition to internal club competitions, members actively participate in a range of externally organised events, both locally and nationally. These include prestigious tournaments such as the Daily Mail Foursomes, Yorkshire County Foursomes, Coronation Foursomes, and the Ping Fourball Better ball, providing opportunities for competitive play and engagement beyond the Club itself.

Lifestyle Flexible Membership

Understanding that flexibility is essential for women balancing various commitments, Wilton Golf Club offers a Lifestyle Flexible Membership. This option is available to new members and provides access to all club facilities, eligibility for club loyalty discounts, and use of the booking system.
Lifestyle Flexible Membership also enables women to gain or maintain an official WHS handicap and participate in selected club competitions, further enhancing their golfing experience and involvement with the Club.
