Welcome to the home of Wilton Golf Club

 

Wilton Golf Club is rapidly developing a reputation for the best golfing day out in the area. The 18 hole golf course is set in parkland with an abundance of trees and shrubs which also makes for a pleasant walk.

We have spaces available for new members in all categories. There is no joining fee and our rates are competitive.  Go to our membership page for more details and an application form.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2020 – Sunday 2nd August 2020 – The format is as follows; The overall Club Champion will be decided over 36 holes, the winner will be the lowest (36 hole) gross score. There will be prizes for the top 3 (36 hole) gross scores. We are also introducing a Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3 Championship. The Division 1 Championship (0-11 handicap) will be determined by the lowest nett score (over 36 holes), there will be prizes for the top 3. The Division 2 (12-15 handicap) and Division 3 (16-28 handicap) championships will be decided by the lowest nett scores over 18 holes and there will be prizes for the top 3 in each division. To put your name down for the event please contact the Professional Shop. Start times will be allocated as follows, the Division 1 players will tee off between 8.30 till 10.00 (1st round) and 1.00 till 2.30 (2nd round). The Division 2 and 3 players will tee off between 10.00 and 1.00. Tee off times will be allocated. For the Division 2 and 3 championship places are limited to 69 players (for the two divisions combined) and will be filled on a first come first served basis.

GUIDELINES FOR USING THE CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES

ENTERING AND EXITING THE CLUBHOUSE

  • Both ladies and gents are required to enter the clubhouse via the respective ladies and gents outside locker room doors.
  • It is a requirement that when entering the building you use the facilities to wash your hands.
  • At the top of the stairs in the clubhouse there will be a sanitizer station, please use the bottles and wipes provided to wipe the table and chairs that you wish to sit at. There is hand sanitizer provided to sanitize after wiping down the surfaces.
  • To leave the clubhouse you exit via the patio doors. There will be a station at that door where you are required to leave your empty glasses and bottles in the rack.
  • If you require the use of the toilet facilities you must exit through the patio doors and go in through the outside locker room doors.

THERE IS STRICTLY A ‘ONE-WAY’ SYSTEM IN OPERATION IN THE CLUBHOUSE AND YOU MUST ADHERE TO IT. USE THE ARROWS THAT HAVE BEEN MARKED ON THE FLOOR FOR GUIDENCE

 

ORDERING AND PURCHASING DRINKS

  • The bar will be serving from the far end of the bar near the kitchen. The queuing areas for the bar are clearly marked on the floor and the gaps indicated must be maintained.
  • If you wish to go from your seat to the bar you must follow the ‘one-way’ system which will take you outside and back in through the locker rooms.
  • You must pay using a contactless card and you must only handle your own drinks.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Everyone who enters the clubhouse must log their details, golfers who have played on the day will have this done automatically by virtue of having booked a tee off time. Anybody who has not played golf or who plays after 6.00pm must log their details with the bar. The purpose of this is for track and trace in the event of any cases.
  • We are currently not serving any food.
  • Bar opening times – 11.00am til 9.00pm

PLEASE HAVE RESPECT AND PATIENCE FOR THE STAFF AND FELLOW CUSTOMERS. ANYBODY WHO DOES NOT ADHERE TO THE RULES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.

WEDNESDAY COMPETITION

During shop hours, cards must be returned to the shop and we will ask you to read out your scores so that they can be entered into the computer on your behalf. Anyone finishing after the shop is closed must put their scorecard into the box in the clubhouse where they will be collected the following day.
