Wilton Golf Club are so proud of Alfie's achievements and for qualifying and making the cut was an incredible accomplishment. A fantastic opportunity for our young Junior Captain made possible with help from Wilton Golf Club members.
Below is a statement from Alfie.
"To Wilton Golf Club and the members.
I must say thanks again for helping me to have the opportunity to play in my first International event abroad last week.
Unfortunately, I wasn't at my best but the target before we went out to Spain was to make the cut, to which I succeeded anything better would be a bonus.
The two courses I played were La Hacienda-Alcaidesa Links and Heathland, which are to be used next year on the European tour. We did play off the very back tee's so it really was a true test of golf both in distance, unbelievably quick and tricky greens.
I do feel that I have gained a huge amount of experience from last week, to which I have got the taste for more and it has made me more determined than ever.
Once again, this Golf Club, its members and James Kraus our Pro are all amazing.
We couldn't have done this without your help and generosity.
Thank You Alfie B

Wilton Golf Club are proud to support the NHS Ambulance Service and its Partners by registering our Defibrillator on the National Defibrillator Network. It was reported recently in the National News that many defibrillator's are never used because the emergency services do not know where they are or how to access them. The Circuit is a National Defibrillator Network that connects defibrillator's to NHS Ambulance services throughout the UK so in the critical moments after cardiac arrest defibrillator's can be accessed quickly to save lives.

We are now officially compliant with England Golf affiliation, having had our Equality Diversity & Inclusion Policy & Disciplinary Regulations 2023 approved.
With the help of the European Regional Development Fund and Decerna,Wilton Golf Club undertook a project, in a very short timescale, to install a Solar PV System.
Hasmart Home Automation (www.hasmart.co.uk) based in South Shields supplied a 14.76 kW solar array of 36 panels. The system is expected to generate 12,122 kWh of clean electricity every year and save 2,574 kg CO2 of carbon in addition to significant savings.
The PV system will supply our property with clean, green electricity - and in sunny periods some will also be exported back to the grid. Overall we will be making a big contribution to reducing CO2 not just by lowering the carbon intensity of our own electricity, but by putting low-carbon electricity back in the grid for others to use too.
